How We Distribute Food
The Food Bank does not distribute food directly to individuals but rather supplies a network of social initiative entities, which then distribute it to people in vulnerable situations, referred by public and private social assistance agents.

Food Distribution
In 2024, the Bank distributed food to 28,817 people in the Girona regions thanks to 81 collaborating entities, of which 61 distribute, 15 are consumption-focused —preparing and distributing cooked food— and 5 are mixed, for distribution and consumption.
The number of people served has maintained the downward trend that began after the 2020 pandemic.
